BATON ROUGE, LA — An 18-year-old man was found dead in his car after a shooting on North 38th Street near Choctaw Drive late Saturday night, according to the Baton Rouge Police Department.
Detectives identified the victim as Jonathan Triplett. He was discovered in a Dodge vehicle with multiple bullet holes just before midnight. Emergency responders pronounced him dead at the scene.
At this time, police have not identified any suspects or established a motive for the shooting. The Violent Crimes Unit is leading the investigation. Authorities are urging anyone with information to contact the unit at (225) 389-7867.
